How to Shape and Groom Eyebrows using Stencils

I often get questions on my blog about grooming and shaping eyebrows. When it comes to eyebrows, especially for first timers or beginners, getting your eyebrows done by professional is still the best way to go and I always, always recommend it to all my readers. But of course, financially speaking, it would be better if you know how to do it yourself. Been there, done that!

I’ve been plucking and shaving my own eyebrows for almost 3 years. It wasn’t really easy. Just like anything else, it took me tons of trial and errors to finally develop my skill (if it’s even a skill) in shaping my eyebrows. Funny, I can even recall my half-tailed and overplucked eyebrows back in my college year. Anyways, moving forward, here are some of my pointers, perhaps tips, on how to groom and shape your eyebrows.
Disclaimer: I am not a professional eyebrow specialist or makeup artists. All these tips are just based from my own personal experience. Do this at your own risk.

BROW CLASS STENCILS

BROW Stencils is really helpful in shaping and grooming your eyebrows especially for beginners. It takes the guesswork out of the shape.
There are many brow stencils that are available in the market. In today’s post, I will be using Brow Class from Pretty Angel Shoppe.

Brow Class contains 3 brow stencils. The packaging is really girly. One set can be purchased at Pretty Angel Shoppe for only Php 75.

• HOW TO •

1. In choosing stencils, choose the shape that is closest to your natural eyebrow shape. I opted for the 2nd stencil.
2. One of the reasons why people do not use stencils is because, according to them, it is difficult to work with especially when you have to hold these up while your other hand is filling them in. My solution would be to stick it in place. I like using Magic tape, but since I run out of magic tape, I use Masking tape instead.
3. Once the stencil is in its position, brush the hair in place using spoolie
4. Then start filling them in. After filling it in with eyebrow powder/pencil, remove the stencil.
5. Once I have established the shape I wanted through the help of my reliable stencil, I like to pluck or shave all hairs that will go beyond the shape
6. After doing so, conceal the corners for more defined eyebrows.

And voila! That’s basically how I groom and shape my eyebrows!

  16. I don't like plucking that's why I always love going to the brow salon. I'm afraid of taking risks that is why. But I find this helpful especially to those who are beginning to shape their eyebrows!
